help! i cant find files on pc from camcorder
ok i have a Hitachi DZ MV550A camcorder. I can play back files ont he camcorder and on the tv just fine but i can not get my computer to recognize the dvd-ram disk or when i try to use USB to get camcorder to the computer i can't find the files. I have a dvd drive on my computer and i thought it would work just fine using the usb cord. Im just trying to transfer the files over onto the computer. I have installed the files onthe disk it came withr but it wont work with that either. Hopefully someone can help. Thanks

May I suggest that you open a new folder in whatever area you want to put your "video" files. I use a folder named RAW video, from which I can exstrapolate the files at will to my video editing s/w. My videos are on a SD card so I "read" them straight to my RAW video folder. With the DVD recorder, I have just had a problem as my DVD m.c did not recognise the make of disc I was using. Once I changed to "recognised" the make and it worked ok.
Sometimes seemingly silly things work best
