Solved: Simple photoshop question
I want to create a 1 pixel line border around the image for a template (so I can see what to cut)
How would I do this? This is photoshop cs3 btw

Probably the easiest way is to increase your canvas size by 2 px both horizontally and vertically and set the background to white and the original image to the centre box. If you want a screen shot let me know.

I would make a selection around what you wish to border,

right-click > stroke > change the settings to whatever you like

  • Double click the picture's layer.
  • Select Stroke.
  • Change the Position to Inside.
  • Select your color and size of the stroke.

You end up hiding 1 pixel of the image with the stroke, but it's super easy.

Thanks for the help everyone. Much easier than the method I was trying (hand drawing the whole thing with the pen tool)
