Your welcome Candy. Yea image mender does work or that other free one like it did but darn I can not find out the name or now where I seen it. But they take what is around the image and really guess what should be there. Now your see that image at the site was more easy then a image with lots of detail etc where it would not be able to do as good or can make it look bad.

Other removing objects from images programs.

http://www.logarithmic.net/pfh/resynthesizer/removal

OK I think PhotoWipe was what I played with before. Yep I got it installed.
Still work so no time limit and it was installed May, 07

Then clone things also can work.

Maybe use the remover program and clone both if it is something harder to do because of lots of detail.

See the picture and how easy it was but it is just the smoke in the sky. doing the same thing in other parts of the picture would not be as easy.

Just a thought, Candy. If you like the photo so much why not use it as wallpaper and hide the date by increasing the depth of your taskbar?

Will that work? Not sure I'll like the taskbar that big.

I'm on another operating system using just the plain Windows background choice, when I reboot into Vista, I'll check that out.

Thanks

And thanks again Hewee for your continued suggestions

It's not a real burning issue, but, just when I restart into Vista it annoys me

Just one other thought, depending on what the picture is... you could just crop off the bottom of the picture to get rid of the datestamp.

Unfortunately, putting it back in the camera won't do anything: the camera has basically made the date text a part of the image... same as if you loaded the picture into Photoshop, added text to it, then re-saved it as a JPEG.

This is on your cat in the Avatar and the C on your name. Look at how it got the blue background into the Avatar and the black where the C was. It is taking things from the sides and using it to fill in.
Doing a clone will look much better.

Still the program is good but on simple things with plain backgrounds and even then you can clone or point in the spot just a easy.

What I was saying is that the program did a poor job.

Yo Candy.......
I fooled around with it and removed a bunch of distractions. Then made a few adjustments. I'm sending you a copy which is larger in size than what you sent me so let me know if you get it. If not I'll shrink it down some more. I don't know what your ISP permits as far as attachments go.

For everyone else, here's a sample. If you can't see it because of the size then take my word it's a decent picture.

Thanks! I didn't take it, but, I must admit, it is a pretty cool picture
