removing txt from pdf
I translate text in mixed graphics/txt pdf files from one language to another.
The pdf files are prepared probably in Word, by putting the artwork into a document in jpg and adding the text on it in a text box.
In order to replace the original text I delete it first. I do it usually by converting the files to jpg, and removing the text in a graphic program. Then I use the same method, i.e. I put the file in Word document, add the new text and print the translated file to pdf.
However in this way I mar often the graphics, and handling off/on the jpg also impairs the artwork.
I am looking for a way to remove the original text directly from the pdf.
Is it possible at all? And if so, how?
please advise
thanks

One of the reasons for pdfs is to lock down the file so its not editable.
You need to be aware of this and any ethical copyright issues.

If you are just trying to convert the language it might be a good idea to contact the author of the original document to get their OK first
