Welcome to TSG. I've removed your email addresses to prevent you from getting unsolicited emails aka Spam.

Are these pictures on the computer or still on the camera? Do you know how or why they are corrupt? And what do they look like or can they even be opened?

If you can get the search feature here at TSG to work there have been many threads about this subject...

the search does not work for me...

Buck, you can also use the Google search feature to search the TSG forums if you can't get the standard search to work. I just tried a search on recover corrupted camera pictures and got a number of hits, so search is working for me here.

Hello, I'm a friend of pockyking's. We took roughly 40 pictures on a cheap fuji camera. When we went back to my house and copied them onto my computer, only 17 of the 40 were there, and I accidentally erased the camera's memory. Roughly ten minutes later, we ran pandora recovery and JPEG recovery, both of which found all 40 images. Unfortunately, half of them were corrupt. However, they were all around 370kb, the same as the non-corrupt images.
Attached Files
File Type: rar CONVAR23.rar (359.3 KB, 31 views)
File Type: rar _NVAR10.rar (282 Bytes, 16 views)

There was a programme mentioned in a post a little while ago on here it was called something like

Image mender
jpeg meder
jpeg fixer

or something similar. Sorry I can't remember exactly the name but searching through the forums or Google may bring it up for you.

You're referring to my rar? Each one contains a single image, and I'm positive they are not smut. Colinsp, I just gave image mender a try. It was unable to load most of the images, but several came up as pink blocks. Does this mean that that they can be recovered?

I'm hoping someone else will open one of those rar files and confirm it for me...

It's only 360KB. I wouldn't be able to fit a folder that was "full of jpgs". Besides, I have a genuine problem here. Posting pornographic images would not benefit me in any way.

My appoligies

It appears to be something to do with working on friend I work withs computer...although I have no idea how what I saw worked it's way into your rar file..

there has been a recovery program mention a few time in this forum that works wonders...but I think it's for recovering deleted files not corupted ones as it appears you have... I'll have a look for it
