Don't learn Photoshop by doing internet tutorials (tons of reasons, but I don't wanna go into now)
Are you ready now to go into it? I'd love to hear them.

And have you got the links handy for your tutorials you wrote?

So, I say "basics" and you say "Basics". What's the beef?
I'm referring to the post suggesting Video learning only, and to avoid 'net tutorials.
In any case, there's no one way to learn that's right for everyone

Note: There are video tutorials on the 'net too.

I'm pretty handy at Photoshop these days, and guess how I got here? Online tutorials.

Your answer doesn't suprise me either, it confirms exactly my previous thoughts:

a) You're not interested in whether I think tutorials are not the right way to start with Photoshop, you just want to start an argument. So why should I spend 5 minutes on explaining my reasoning?

b) I don't have a problem to share my site with others, however I refuse to do that if the only reason is to please the person who doesn't trust me on my words.

Please, don't get me started on that (one of the reasons of many why I think you should avoid them).

Take for example this pen tutorial:

Now let's assume that you use that tutorial to learn how the pen tool works. Guess what? Then also you will learn completely the wrong way, because also this person thought it was not necessary to learn the bascis first.

If you're interested I'm more than willing to explain what the issues are with this video, but only if it's because you want to learn and not for the sake of arguments.

You have no idea what I'm interested in are putting words in my mouth which is something I very much dislike.

Despite what you think I am very interested in your reasons and your tutorials.

For your info I think a well written tutorial in book form is much better than a video tutorial because it is easier to take ones own pace where it is for a beginner or an expert.

and I won't even click on a YouBoob link no matter what's being sold...

Unfortunately you won't show/explain to anyone why to trust your words.

You claim to have written many, I assume, good tutorials... as I said...I would like to see them.

I have not insulted you, I have not called you names or treated you in any other disrespectful way.

You made two requests, but when I refused (for my own reasons that I actually wanted to keep to myself and sadly turned out to be true), you thought you had the right to reply with "I'm not surprised" and add a few rolling eyes to make it worse and now you conveniently try to ignore your rude response.

I'm done talking to you.

If online tutorials(of any kind, not just video) are so bad, then how did I get good at Photoshop because of them?

Note: I actually haven't bothered with many of the video ones.

You'd think so, but then when someone says "No, you're all wrong, tutorials are bad." and then refuses to give a single reason why, then there are bound to be people who get annoyed.

No you haven't lost me. I visit techguy forums a lot. Its just that I don't post a lot. I enjoy reading.

I have checked out all the sites which you have posted. They all are wonderful sites. I am practicising photoshop.

It seems like techguy isn't fully compatible with Opera. I tried posting this post in opera and I was redirected to http://forums.techguy.org/profile.php?do=dismissnotice. After that, I tried Firefox and the posting worked.

The same happens whenever I try to click on Mark Solved. Again I tried Firefox and the mark solved button worked.

I am marking this solved now.
