Great.
Pictures are worth a thousand words .. and Videos a whole lot more.
I would have been lost when I started, without access to a VHS library (if that dates me )

Learning all the keyboard short cuts and tricks .. And how PS thinks, is very valuable.
Then you can start figuring things out on you own .. or by reading "words"
It's too bad the good Video tutorials are so expensive

Hi, I know this thread has been "solved" but thought I'd drop my 2cents in too...

I completely agree w/joining NAPP.

Their website hosts a very large wealth of information and tutorials. And the monthly magaize is something to experience.

My personal reccommendation tho. Find examples the type of graphics you want to be involved with (on the web, magazines, news papers, advertisements, etc) and make your own reproductions. In addition to that, if you have someone that "needs" graphics work have them specify what they need and you work to deliver what the want. (My first heavy experience was working with a Rock Band Promoter, doing photo shots and then turning the resulting photos into graphics for the band. It was alot of improvision, googling and developing my own style but the experience took me a long way into learning Photoshop.

I like Linda.com. They have a bunch of excellent tutorials for every level of Photoshop user. You can buy a subscription for a month, bear down and learn what you need.
