Please help with some PaintStar questions.
What does tools>preview in context mode>enable/disable do?

Is there another way to draw a straight line without using the pencil/shift tool? I sometimes don’t want the next line to start where the last line stopped--is there a way to disable this?

Is it possible to display the grid?

Under “layers & paths” what is the purpose of the 4-way arrow?

Under “layers & paths” what is the difference between merge visible layer, merge up, and flatten image? I think I understand what merge visible layer and merge up do--I guess I am just asking what the flatten image does?

Thanks in advance for your help,
Yeto
