Photo Separation
This is probably a stupid question bit here it goes. If digital photos are taken at different times is there a program that will separate them out? Say a set of pictures were taken in July 2005 and another set Sept. 2007 and they are mixed. Now add about ten other dates and mix. Is the only way to separate them is by eye?

Try Picasa.

"For organizing photos, Picasa has file importing and tracking features, as well as tags and collections for further sorting."

in MY PICTURES folder (I assume this has the photos) top line click on VIEW/CHOOSE DETAILS
select the box DATE PICTURE TAKEN
to sort by that column just click on the top of that list bingo its sorted in date order-click on it again-sorted in reverse order.

Thanks guys. I have about 2000 photos to arrange. Both Picasa and Knotbored's idea should help.

You can also make up folders for years or dates.
