Nikon D70, setting a BULB time?
Hi Im using a Nikon D70 to create light drawings and images. Unfortunatly its getting harder and harder to lure victims to hold the bulb function on my camera for me. Tonight Im in desparate need of doing some light drawings but I only have my self to do them.

My question is; Is there any way I can set the bulb function (Leave the shutter open) and have it held without me standing there? Like perhaps if I pressed it once, ran in front of the image and then ran back to close it again? Or maybe a way to set a time that the shutters open?

Any help anyone can give is awesome, Im getting kinda desparate as I need some of these shots for tomorrow and some of my friends bailed on me ¬_¬

Can't offer any suggestions for a quick solution, however ...

For a permanent solution, you may want to see if a Nikon MC-DC1 Wired Remote will work with your camera.

Shutter can also be locked in Long Time Exposure (Bulb)

Ebay sellers have a lot of inexpensive IR remote units that probably work with your Nikon.

Unfortunately, due to the way the BULB setting operates, you must hold down the shutter button in order to keep the shutter open. As the members above me have mentioned, a remote is definitely your best option. Wireless remotes which can reach 15+ feet are available for the D70 on eBay for under $30 (I used to have the D50, and I purchased one that worked with both the D50 and D70 for $24 after shipping).
