USB Graphics tablet issue
I hope this is the right section.

I am running a windows Vista (Compaq) AMD Athalon 2 processor,32 bit.

My problem is with the Manhattan USB graphics tablet (model no 174459) I purchased 2 months back.
It worked fine until this weekend.
Now, when I plug it in,I get an error message that reads :" USB Device not recognized. One of the usb devices connected to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it. Click here to solve this problem."

I click and it just shows the usb hub things.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software multiple times and contacted tech support(the driver they gave me was no help).
I purchased the tablet from Amazon and the seller's warranty went out a month back.
I hope I haven't wasted seventy dollars.

Please help me.

I've used all my USB ports. Two give me an error message and one doesn't respond. But,they work for my mp3 player and my flash drives.

tried it on another computer?

I'm from the UK and we have something called consumer 'statutory rights'. No matter what the 'company warranty' is, you don't expect something to break in 2 months so you are still entitled to a replacement.

The Manhattan website claims a lifetime warranty. But you need to go thru the original seller?

I'm in the States. Wish I knew if we had that or not. It'd be nice.

Yep,I've tried it on another computer. I got no error messages, but still wouldn't reply to the pen.

I've gone through tech support with the end result: get a replacement.

Thing is, I got it from Amazon.com and the seller had a one month return policy on it. I bought it in August...and now it's November. Eep.
Though my step dad is going to check and see...he thought there might have been some deal with the credit card that lengthens the return policy. Here's hoping.

Logically, if I was working fine and now it isn't, and it also doesn't work on another PC, then it must be broken. If you haven't done anything to break it and it is only a couple of months old, then you should be able to get it replaced. If you have problems dealing with the retailer, then the manufacturer may help you if you explain that the seller is not playing fair.
I did have a look for the US version of our 'Statutory Rights' but didnt have much luck but then you will call it something else no doubt.
Good luck

Yes, they do list a lifetime warranty and someone should be willing to accept an RMA and give you a replacement.

If not, screw them and go get another brand.
