Solved: Panasonic TZ6 + TZ7 = whats the difference?
I am thinking of purchasing the TZ6 over the TZ7 as its £40 cheaper but as far as I know the only difference between the two is HD video recording and 0.3 inch bigger screen

- is that the only differences?

thanks

Per this review (these guys are smart and thorough testers), it looks like the cameras take similar pictures, and are quite good at what they do, but you would want to pay the extra money if you wanted HD video and a bigger LCD screen.

I'm a fan of video, so I'd go for the better (wider) video. Years from now, someone might look at my stuff and say "the old coot at least spent his money on quality".

I have tried several still camera's in the past but have always found their video to be somewhat lacking in quality, very often only 320x280 pixels. I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ10 (an excellent still camera but again only 320x280pixels). I looked around for a video camera and found the Toshiba Camileo H10 (which is HDMI DV at 1280x720pixels). It gives excellent results, is probably the cheapest for the quality (£130) and does 10Mp still pictures. It's worth having a look at.
