Can not view pictures
I hope some one on here can help me. I recently had to recover my pictures using recover my files software. After i reformatted the secondary hard drive and put the pictures back on it when I go to view the pictures it says no preview available. I tried to open it using paint and it said file format not supported. The file types are jpg and the size is about right but I just can not view them. I have researched this and tried multiple things including regsvr32 shimgvw.dll and regsvr32 /i shimgvw.dll to no sucess. I am running win xp. I would greatly appreciate any help on this and thanks.

I suspect the OP's files are lost but perhaps if one or two were put up as attachments, they could be checked by the many volunteers here.

Parts of the files may have been recovered, but obviously the entire file wasn't. The problem is they're corrupted. I haven't found a program yet that repairs corrupted JPG files.
