Helpful camera hints
This isn't a list of problems but a few things I found a camera useful for.
1. I needed to replace a fan control mounted high on the wall. The manufacturer information and model is small print on the narrow base, impossible to read from my bifocal glasses. I took a photo using closeup setting and viewed the info on my computer in a blown-up size.
2. I broke one of those "European" style cabinet hinges and needed either an identical one or one with identical mounting screw locations. I took a photo-resized it to match the actual hinge and took that to the hardware store and got the replacement.
3. I replaced the engine on my pickup and wanted the wiring and tubing to be routed as the manufacturer did-again-a few photos proved invaluable hooking up a hundred or so connections. (this was prior to digital photo-done using old-fashioned camera.)

Same with my tiller linkage:

I did some work for a woman who couldn't handle stairs. There was a leak in the upstairs bathroom, so I photographed the damage from the basement and showed her the images using her home computer. Very helpful in explaining it to her.
I needed to copy a document quickly, and my scanner was on the fritz. A quick photo using document mode resolved the problem.
Handy items, those cameras.
