I'm running Vista Home Premium; Photo Gallery has a problem
When using Xnews to download multiple images; I can launch them as they are being saved to my hard drive. Windows Photo Gallery opens a new instance every time a new one is saved. Office Picture Manager does the same. I soon run out of memory and have to close one window for each picture I downloaded. I tried Irfanview (latest version), because it has "one instance of Irfanview" in the options menus, but get the dreaded " is not a valid integer value error. Is there a Vista image viewing utility that will open when an image is launched and close that window when another of the same type (usually JPG) is launched,. That would save on memory and Xnews crashing. It doesn't need the bells and whistles, just make it fit, preferably in the middle of the screen, have reasonably good quality, and leave when the next one comes. (Oh, and free too!) Thx paj692

Picture viewers are all made so that people can open multiple pictures in multiple windows. I doubt there is one that closes itself every time you want to open a new picture (I can't think of one off the top of my head...). I would suggest just saving the pictures to a specific folder and not open them as Xnews downloads them, since you can go into the folder where they are saved and open the first picture, then browse through them all in the same window (even as more are being downloaded).
