Smile Reinstall
Do you have the original disk? If so, it would be simple to use Control Panel, delete the program and reinstall it. Something may have gotten corrupted. This would be a simple fix if it works.

What else have you tried?

It helps if you tell us that, so as to not waste time with suggestions you have already tried.

Before you tried the reinstall did you do an uninstall from within the program?

What operating system are you using?

In my experience the Adobe help line is quite good with their product although I'm not sure with older versions.
