Guys like me will try to wiggle the lens and see if we can snap it back onto its tracks, but that is almost always a losing proposition.
You could also call the Olympus service center to see if they will give you a flat rate estimate for repair. However, my experience with Olympus is that they want to see the camera before issuing an estimate. I would guess about $120, and they probably just give you a refurb.
Next time, buy the shock proof and water proof Olympus. It can be dropped from moderate distances and also dunked. |
