Hello Im desperate, I hope u can help me, I have a PC with Creatix saa 7131 hybrid capture device, via hd audio, nvidia geforce 7300se,
I have a vhs tape that I need to pass to dvd and microsoft windows media encoder 9 series install in pc, Im able to capture audio but not the video, my vhs is connected to an adapter skart to the pc, the audio is connected separatly with red and white cable to the apater and it goes on the computer (one end) to the audio imput, i used a different cable for the video (yellow) that goes from the skart adapter to the input video on the pc.

what type of connection is the video using... is it going through the video card from the adaptor or with a usb connection?

I only ask because older usb 1.1 is too slow for video

This device works well. I've converted all my Hi8 videos to digital.

I wanted to do that but both my Hi8 cameras won't playback after sitting in the closet for years...mechanically they work and one has a snowy picture, but I don't know how I could fix it....
