Samsung DLP TV
I have a samsung TV. I just started to have the oddest thing happen. After the TV gets hot, about 1 hour. It sounds like popcorn being made. It starts out slow and then increases to a rapid cracking. Sounds like it comes from the speakers?

Any ideas what this could be?

It's the chips frying...

Sorry couldn't resist the opportunity. That sounds like a 'dry joint' in the sound amplifier circuit. I suspect the easiest solution is a replacement circuit board - a job for a TV engineer.
