Hi there. Really need help over here. Just want to try if I can fix it myself, if not will call in a professional to do so.

Here is the problem.
I have my house light installed about 2 years back. Few months back it started with auto dimmed down after sometimes. When off it and on back(after awhile) the brightness is back normal. The routine repeats.

Now the bigger problem is, I couldn't on it at times. I have to keep switching on off to get it on. Sometimes that doesnt work too. However, there is a way to on it. I need to flick the switch to on leave it there for a while then I need to flick the switch on off on off to get it on.

Anyone out here know what is the problem and can I fix it myself?

hi,

okay the main problem now is, to on my light i have to flick my switch to on and leave it for about a minute then i will have to flick the switch on and off a few times to get the light to light up.

Does it go on by itself when it gets dark? If so, try cleaning the electric eye that senses the light. It may have gotten pretty covered with dirt in 2 years.

It doesn't, for now the only thing is bothering me is that I can't on it . Need to wait and flick the switch several times before it goes on

Is this an incandescent light ( regular light bulb) or a fluorescent/ some other type of light with a transformer in it?

Does this light have a dimmer on it?

Are there any other devices on te electrical circuit that are acting "strange"?

Sorry for all the questions. But I would like to narrow some things.
