Solved: electric generator problem
Hi!
I have an electric generator and i run it on natural gas instead of petrol. The problem is that it makes the plug dirty very soon. it does not run more then an hour or two and i have to clean the plug again.
Is there some one who can give solution and tell me the reason.

I am making a guess that the air intake is inadequate. Check for any restrictions, dirty air filter etc.
If practical, remove air filter, clean plug and run a test to see if plug stays cleaner.
Good luck and post back any results or questions.

Has this always happened?

Along with the air intake, maybe a partialy blocked jet/nozzle.

Make and model might help.

Running natural gas in an internal combustion engine will make the plugs burn brown and it also takes a hotter spark to fully ignite natural gas. Is this brown color of the plug what you're calling dirty?

Yeh it becomes brown. I decreased the mobileoil and the problem is solved a little bit. But its still there. Air filter is clean and there is no role of jet in gas burning as it directly goes in with air intake.

Is this a recent conversion and did it just start doing this?

Is the gas "clean"?
