Usb Hub Tested with Multimeter

Hi all! This was typed in a hurry. I have a USB hub (unpowered) but it has a plug for a power supply (I'll post a pic) I tested the voltage and the center of the plug is positive. When I connect a power source, would it pe the same things to connect to?
