Getting into Professional Recording
Hey, long time since I've logged in.

I am about to move into professional recording along with my graphic/web design. I want to get a great pro audio device that won't cost much. It'll need to be able to hook up to Mic's Guitars and speakers so I will need Midi, 1/4 in. and RCA, with 24-bit recording... The real 24 bit, I am aware that the 24 bit Creative makes actually isn't so, and so I am looking for something a little... more powerful....

What I have:

Asus A8N SLI
AMD 64 X2 +4400
2GB's RAM
120 GB hard drive
Duel 6800GS's

And a Creative Audigy 4 Pro

What would you reccomend?

Well there is a major flaw in the design there. It needs an external box, thats a must. Similar to the Augity 4. What happens is, the recording process, if it goes on in the sound card, picks up the sound of the fans, altering the clarity of the sound. You can easily go over the asking price for something. For example: A Mark of the Unicorn (One which I am considering) http://www.motu.com/products/pciaudio/2408 is exactly along the lines I am following. It has 8 Midi ports (You can basically hook up the whole effing band) and the 1/4 in jacks for vocals and guitar, it is external so the interference is to a minimum. The price right of the shelf is about $1000, used on ebay under $300. Is that a little more clear? (Not trying to be rude =p)

However I did find an M-Audio that interested me:

I'll look it up on Ebay
