Post Dell computer help with battery
Hi, I have a dell laptop and the battery deid can I use a battery not from dell but the same stats or do ?I have to use dell manufactured computer

Each laptop make and model has a unique battery casing and connection in my experience.

While it would not have to be a Dell branded one (there will probably be third party suppliers), it has to be one that will be both physically compatible and electrically compatible, or damage will result.

There may be a 3rd Party company as Kiwiguy has suggested but personally I would stick with the brand as you know that you are getting the correct specs and most of these batteries will come with a 12 month warranty.

Yes, it is better to stick with the battery from the same manufacturer. If you need a used or new Dell laptop battery, you can find tons of ebay.
