manufacture of components
I am building a computer from scratch. I am wondering what company makes the most reliable components. Things like power supplys, motherboards, video cards, game cards?

Power supplys - Antec, Enermax, Thermaltake.
Motherboards - Asus, DFI from what I hear, and I really like my Chaintech. Soyo was great, I think they dropped out though. MSI is pretty good too.
Video Cards - Sapphire, ASUS, Gigabyte.

Game Cards - No such thing.
RAM - Crucial, OCZ, Mushkin, Samsung, Crucial, Kingston

I give MSI extra points for their manuals, they leave nothing out and I believe they are by far the best documented motherboard makers.

Other options are usually right in line with the price you are paying for that motherboard, and they are usually rock solid.

Could anyone provide me with a list of online distributors?

Currently, I have TigerDirect, Newegg, and NCIX as well as Canada Computers (http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowHome), although I do not know how good they are. The problem is, Newegg has some good deals, and would come out to be cheaper; however, they do not ship to Canada and I know of no other way to actually order from them. Thanks.

I see you are from Canada. You gotta check these guys out. I purchased many things over the years from them when I lived in Winnipeg. Their store is massive and they stock just about everything. Their guys really know there stuff as well which is a big bonus. Man how I miss that place......
