Exclamation For EXP only, HDD and USBFDD
i have a one gig usb flash drive and someone said i can make a bootable fdd from it. i was thinking to put linux in this equation, is this true. also, i don't necessarily want to format my hard drive to a particular file type and i was wondering, if there is a way to save information on the disc without actually putting an entire operating system on it, for instance i have a wolvix linux bootable cd. can i save my configuration and documents on a drive that is formatted as ext three and if so do i need a swap or boot partition also.
what i would really like is to make my system universal. to make it a developers station, with a minimal formatted drive for linux and also windows (say 50%) of the drive while utilizing the remaining space for files of any type, sort of like a database. can anyone assist in detail?

Please don't duplicate threads for the same problem, I've already answered you in the development forum.

I'd suggest a review of the forum rules prior to posting again

Closing all duplicates.....triplicates, etc.
