Cant Tune DVD to T.V. (Nordmende Galaxy)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

New DVD Player (Phillips). Old T.V. - a Nordmende Galaxy 55 IMC

I connected Scart Lead. I succeeded in tuning DVD to T.V. using the AV option. But the other TV channels, already tuned to terrestrial TV stations, tuned will not work properly when the DVD is connected. They give the sound of the terrestrial TV channel but the picture (blurred) of the DVD program. This happens on all the TV channels (5 of them).

When I play the DVD through my VCR I can get it to work perfectly WHEN THE VCR IS SWITICHED ON AND SET TO E1. However after five minutes the VCR Switches off to standby automatically and my DVD picture disappears. Is there some way of setting the VCR so it wont switch off?
