This I can help you with. It says not to take advice from others that are not qulified to. I am a M.E.C.P Installer and have 8 certifications in car audio and video.

Please list the following.

Amp
Head unit
any crossovers
subs
and type of box (sealed/ported/bandpass)

And anything else you may want to know or have an issue.

Junior member, lol.

You are getting voice through your sub cuz it aint being filtered out. Capacitors filter out base low frequency, and coils filter out treble high frequency (analog technology)

Or you can do like junior is going to tell you and get a powered crossout unit. This is digital technology that lets you fine tune what frequencies are going to what speaker. Get a good one, because bad ones tend to hum.

Let me know if you understand any of this, already have a crossout, or maybe your amp has a built in crossout.

No I was not going to suggest buying anything. Different head units and amps have some features that allow you to tune them.

I didn't drive 1700 miles and pay 6k to goto school for nothing.

And yes there are things you can add active or passive cross overs. But you can also adjust some settings depending on the product.
