HP IPAQ ... looking for info on battery ...
Hi,

I'm looking for information on the battery of an Hp 6340,
i would like to find out the battery connections.

There are four connections on the battery,
iwould like to find out which ones are used for charging,
and of course which way round.

The battery i have is flat, although i do get a very small reading
on the two outer connections with pos on the outside.
But i have known very flat batteries to read tiny voltages the wrong
way round, so i am unwilling to accept that as any indication.

I think the battery is five volts when charged.

Cheers, John

Its unlikely to be that simple.

The other connections are control lines that regulate the charge, as LiOn batteries must be charged under exactly the right conditions or they tend to emit flames....

There are usually electronics within the battery pack.
