i have a 27 in phillips flat screen, I've only had it for 8 months. When you turn it on, nothing happens at all anyh suggestions?

it should have warranty after 8 months contact their service dept

There are probably upwards of 1,000 things that could have failed.

As above, take it back under warranty, or to a service agant if not. Servicing on these is done by module replacement usually, and it would cost you more than another TV to buy a set of modules to ensure you have to one or more that may have failed.

It really is not DIY territory, apart from ensuring the set has been connected to the power socket and that the power socket has power.
