Want to start an online business
Hey everybody,

I want to start an online business to make some money this, and next summer. I thught about ebay, flipping old stuff and selling it, and advertising. If you have any suggestions I would Greatly appreciate the advice. I don't have much funds, but I have computer skill.

Just be aware that if you are in the UK, H.M.Revenue & Customs use 'spider' technology to trace UK-based online traders and all income from this trading can be assessed for tax purposes. Not sure about other countries, but worth checking so you can budget accordingly & keep any required records.

I'm actually doing that now. I searched for companies that had dropship programs. I found one and have been selling their products on my website and on ebay for over a year. So far I'm not getting rich because it takes a long time to get a new website noticed by Google (which is critical), and get good google page rank. Also ebay's fees will kill you but still you can make some money. I net about $200 per week right now and that's after steadily building up the business over the year. I worked hard on getting links to my site and advertising (cheaply as possible) and whatever I can find to promote my site. I use Yahoo online stores for the ordering part. That works pretty well.
