Evesham vs Mesh vs MacPro
Hi Guys,
Not sure which forum to post this in so here goes! I am looking getting at getting a powerful desktop and I have narrowed it down to 3 options and I was hoping on some feedback!
1) Evesham Solar Quattro G8 - Seems expensive for what it is especially when you start to customize it.
2) Mesh Elite Ultima Quad - Seems too good to be true! Even with almost all options selected (including dual 24"s) it still was a bit cheaper than the Evesham!
3) Now I am a Windows fan, but the MacPro does look very, very nice! More expensive than the other two, but for what it is, i am very impressed. However I still would like to be able to use Vista on the Mac, I have read there has been some issues with it not seeing all the RAM installed as well as other minor problems. Is it possible to have just Vista installed without dual boot OSX? Will I have the same performance (Graphics etc?)

If anyone could give me a hand I would greatly appreciate it!!!

Maybe a bit late here volkan - but I would go with the Mesh.

I have one myself - similar to that deal - was the cheapest I found on the market with those specs.

Evesham went into administration a couple of weeks ago and were bought out by the particularly rubbish people behind that awful PC company called Tiny - I wouldn't now touch their products with a very long pole with XP installed on it.

And as for Macs - Macs are glorified Fisher-Price activity centres for adults; computers for scaredy cats too nervous to learn how proper computers work; computers for people who earnestly believe in feng shui.

Best summary of Macs out there - is courtesy of the brilliant Charlie Brooker: http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisf...006031,00.html
