Using external USB DVD Burner with Sky+
Hi Folks! Not sure if I'm posting this in the right place...does anyone know if linking an external USB DVD Recorder to the USB port on the Sky+ box enables you to copy recorded programmes?

Doesn't sound like the USB port is good for doing anything as far as the user is concerned.

From Google Newsgroups Search:

The USB port is about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

You may be able to attach a stand alone Video DVD Recorder to the Sky box's video outputs and make a DVD in in realtime. I have no idea if the UK has any type of copy protection signal that the can be added to the video output to tell the DVD recorder to not record.
