Freeview problems. TV etc
I have ordered BT vision (UK project off UK ISP) and it says I need to make sure my system can receive freeview.
The transmitter that my aerial is currently pointing to doesn't have freeview although a transmitter a few (quite a few) miles away has. My parents won't let me get their aerial moved for their terrestrial TV as it means we will get a different local ITV.
I was wondering if I could set up my own aerial just for freeview that is pointing at this other transmitter.

Maybe someone who knows their stuff about the UK TV system could answer, but any suggestions are welcome.

More info:
Current local non-freeview transmitter: Lydbrook
Proposed freeview transmitter: Ridge Hill

Thanks
Jack

Hi depending on the distance from the transmitter.
Good rooftop Ariel..amplifier etc.
Check.

http://www.freeview.co.uk/availability/

Id call in the local Ariel installer or visit the local shop or phone them for a free advice..estimate..they will know about local reception.

I checked on freeview.co.uk, thats how I know Ridge Hill can get me it but my local one can't.

BT said everything should work 100% when I ordered which leaves me confused....
