PC Build, What Do You Think?
I think I have decided which components I am going to buy to build a pc (I already have the ATX PC case):

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ 2.2 GHz

1 GB DDR2 RAM 800 MHz

ASUS NVIDIA nForce 590 Motherboard M2N32-SLI Deluxe Wireless Edition

Toshiba 160 GB HDD 7200 RPM 8 MB cache

MSI ATi Radeon X2600XT GDRR4 512MB 128-bit

Im also planning to get an 600-650 watt power supply becouse I will upgrade RAM and the Processor later on.

Do you guys think I made a right decision? if not tell me what i can change/add/remove
Also, what does the 8MB cache on the HDD mean?

Thanks

Get a Core 2 Duo, they're the fastest out there now, and of course get an Intel motherboard. Make sure you buy at least 2GB of RAM, too.

Yes Intel is more better than the AMD in the long run.

From what I heard there going to release faster duo core processors and some new quad core processors and then 9 series Nvidia chip in January I am not sure if this interests you at all but just to give you some knowledge I am not sure how long it will take to come from release till market but if you can wait you may want to because those might lower prices of current hardware but if you cant. Like suggest before get two gigs is a good idea but its also a little weird to me the Nvidia chips on the motherboard and a ATI video card that may just me just favoring Nvidia but that seems a little strange. As for the cache:
Once the data is stored in the cache, future use can be made by accessing the cached copy rather than re-fetching or recomputing the original data, so that the average access time is shorter. Cache, therefore, helps expedite data access that the CPU would otherwise need to fetch from main memory.

Intel's Future Processors

Core 2 Duo chips are very fast, if you need a computer go ahead and buy parts now, you won't miss much.

The more cache, the merrier.
