Booting from a Smart Disk Giwes Error
Hello friends, l have a 120 Gb Notebook HDD as a smart disk and l am planning to install windows xp to this smart disk. I see the usb disc on bios and on windows partition formatting sector when l run pc from a bootable w2k3 bootable cd. I select the usb disc, l format with ntfs and than l select install w2k3 to usb disc, when copying files for formatting, when we should see gui interface, l am having a blue screen error. Actually l couldnt see what was written there but it seems l am not getting access to install.
Any1 have any advice? how should l do?
Thanks for any advice...

I am afraid you won't be able to install windows to a USB drive.
You start out with the native USB drivers in the BIOS,then as soon as
windows starts loading it's built in drivers, the system will crash every time.
Even if you managed to get it installed,it would not be portable, because
windows would tend to install drivers for your hardware, which would
not work on other computers.

The ones you have seen are probably stripped down versions
that take special steps to install.
Something like bart PE.
