Building a PC
I am deciding to build a new computer since my old dell dimension is out of date and it suddenly stopped working. All of the components of my dell dimension e510 seem to be fine but when I try to turn it on the power light blinks in an amber color.
So im just going to remove the 2 SATA hard drives, the 2 gb of memory I added. and use them with the new computer im going to build. Now I need to know if all of these components will work well together.

and another thing, do you have a graphics card.? this new mobo does not have onboard graphics. you would either have to use your old one or buy one. The one you have must also be either pci, or pci-e. that mobo does not have an apg slot.

Use your old dell power supply. The dell power supply would probably be better quality than the one that comes with that pc case. However, on another note, yo9u might want to make sure that it wasnt the power supply that failed in your dell.

I will also use my old WD3200KS hdd, Radeon x600 pci-pro graphics card, LG Electronics Black LG Super Multi 18x SATA DVD Burner, an old fan, and a soundblaster card. I do plan to OC to 3.2 ghz with my Q6600 that is why I am buying a third party heatsink fan. Tell me what you guys think of the new build.

All looks well. You did a good job on pairing that cpu with the motherboard. It specifically says that it will support the q6600 on the gigabyte website where-as most just vaguely say they will support core 2 dou's and quads. and then list if they will support the newer wolfdale cores (45nm) which yours does too.

Looks to be a good clean build.
