Want to be involved in HD trials from your computer?
Hi Everyone,

I am a third year multimedia student who is in the middle of a "research via practice" module.
The module stipulates that we must gather feedback information on work produced to test its' result and as my tests ared centred around perception of High Definition video, I thought where better to ask than here!

I have a short scene filming using a High Definition camera and am now testing out what people think of the image quality of three different files that have been exported. There is no audio, only video.

You can take part in the perception test by simply following the links below to the online surveys, downloading the files (link found at the top of the page), watch them one by one; taking time to tick the appropriate boxes on the corresponding questionnaire site that reflect your views after watching each video file.

There are only 13 questions, and they are mostly check box answers.

The only personal information I ask for are technical questions to do with monitor resolutions, and some key demographic information (age, location, experience of HD content etc.)

*** NOTE ***

It is a requirement that you use a video player that can force video into 16:9 aspect and play it Full Screen.
If you are not sure if yours can do this then please download Media Player Classic.
It does not require installing and is only 5.6mb in size.

http://www.free-codecs.com/Media_Pla...c_download.htm

To make sure Media Player Classic is set to 16:9 drag a video file into Media Player Classic, then go to View > Video Frame > Keep Aspect Ratio and then Override Aspect Ratio > 16:9

You may want to warn people about the video file sizes involved. I did not have the patience to download the approximately 147 MB file #1 and approximately 70 MB file #2.

I did download and watch file #3 and took that survey.
