New PC Restarts during Boot
I just finished building my new PC, but have run into a bit of a wall. I've checked the BIOS and everything looks okay, but whenever Windows tries to load, the computer just restarts. This happens whether I tell Windows to start normally or in Safe Mode.

Parts installed so far:

Gigabyte GA-MA69VM-S2 mobo
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+
2 GB Crucial RAM
MSI 8800GT
80 GB Maxtor Hard Drive

No DVD or Floppy Drives installed yet, and the Hard Drive was taken out of my previous PC, so it already has XP Pro installed.

Thanks for any suggestions you all can come up with.

No disrespect, but taking your HD out of your old PC and putting into a completely different one is a terrible way to do it. You have drivers for you old PC and drivers for your new PC, plus all those applications. It's not surprising that this is happening. If I were you, I would backup your important data, and do a fresh install of Windows XP and all your programs. Chances are, the problem will be gone after that.

I was able to resolve this last night, but that was the fix: a clean install. Luckily it was an old PC that I was just using as a DVD player, so there was no data to back up.
