My first gaming computer
Hey, I am making this thread to ask for some help on building my first computer. I pretty much know HOW to build it, but I was wondering if anyone had some nice parts they wanted to talk about that are top of the line, especially for gaming. I was planning on a desktop, I already have a g15 logitech keyboard and g5 mouse with a 20" monitor being shipped. Please Help!!!

;P Thanks, hope for some comments.

processor
motherboard
RAM
gfx card
sound card
network card
and so on...
(fancy sound/network cards optional btw)

and are you planning on going dual core or quad core?
what OS are you planning on running?
and have you got your case sorted out?
and do you need a good PSU?

Yes everything... I was thinking quad core with XP since vista hasn't quite gotten the updates I want... I do not have any idea about good cases, im used to buying the generic brand names... I was thinking a 650 psu would suffice

Oh and maybe an HD sound card... I doubt I really need a fancy network card.

All in one, including windows xp pro.

http://secure.newegg.com/Shopping/Sh...px?Submit=view

slightly over at around $1665. but would certainly run any game thats out on high setting and would last you years. Very upgradable aswell. (not that youll need to for a while

Ohh and to JBM, no point in going with an 8800GTS. the 8800GT series are far superior and raping most of the 8800GTS in gaming tests. plus the 8800GT are like $250 give or take a few $
