In a month or so, I'm going to be moving into a new house with a bunch of guys (were all in college.) Some how word has gotten out that I'm the "tech guy" and a few of them want me to build something awesome for the house that we could all use.

Any ideas of something fairly manageable? Right now I'm thinking add wireless, and attach a home made network storage device for file sharing and such.

The people who rented the house also rent the house right next door, and both houses kinda function as one as far as people coming and going. Maybe someway to make a wireless intercom between the two houses would be cool. Like I said, any ideas would be great. (they said they would fund up to $200 if the idea is good enough)

tech-guy as overall tech geek or just computer geek, i rewired my lights in my room so i can turn them up and down through the computer

you could do some serious mods and make loadsa thign computer turnable onable, would be cool good luck with whatever u decide
