Calculating heat loss and gain when puting in new vents under house
Hello i no been a very long time but we are in the process of trying to build and start an addition. in order to get the permitt we need to no the heat loss and gain of the new heat vents when put in how the heck does one figure this out . we have a input of 66000 btu's coming in and output on furnace is 58000 furnace is a weather maker 8000 and new addtion is 775 sq feet older part of house is 875 and new part will have one fire place
we had someone come in to measure our ducts but i am curious as to how they figure this out . Can they make you buy a new furnace if its not big enough and i think ours is. thanks. katt2
