62" Toshiba DLP 1.5 years old
Hello, I have a Toshiba DLP that will not process signal. If I use the TV remote to display such things as set up and input choice the display works fine. But none of my inputs display anything but a black screen. I use separate inputs (HDMI 1 and HDMI 2) for my satellite and my DVD player. Both were working fine when I shut down the TV. The next day neither will display. I have also set the input to others that are not connected and would normally give me static. They too are black. My sound works but my reciever cuts out every 10 seconds or so while set on satellite. I suspect a short is causing this. I believe there is either a short in the TV that has caused the display issue and is causing the issue with the sound cutting out, or the receiver has a short that has caused a failure in the TV.

Please let me know your opinions on how to resolve the issue. I would like to complete the repair myself and have a great deal of experience with both mechanical and electrical repairs in automated industrial PC's and equipment. However I do not have any tools related to TV repair other than a multi-meter.
