Please recomend an on line store for BMX bike parts
Hello everyone,

I am looking for parts to fix up the bikes that my boys seem to have a grudge against. .

I am in need of basic parts, brake levers, cables a new 5 spoke rim and the like. While there are many on line stores that carry the parts I am looking for I have never done business with any of them.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a reputable on line store for bike parts?

Thanks

Acameron

Hi
I see your location is shown as NEPA. Please excuse my ignorance ... but where is that?
I'm guessing north east Pennsylvania?

How much money are you willing to spend?

I used to rid bmx 4 years ago and iv spent more money on parts than my bike. Depends on the how much you want to spend ,parts and different brands at a high end level are pretty much the same as for strength.

The only difference between expensive high end and cheap high end is the weight and fine tolerances such as special sealed bearings ,the most useless thing iv ever heard for bike parts the belongs on motors.

I spent over 900$ on my last POWER LITE spitfire BMX bike ,big mistake.

Iv never bought online so i couldn't point you anywhere ,but iv looked before and you can fine 1000 or so sites selling every sort of bmx bike part.

Just what it takes to fix them.... All 3 bikes are mid range (cheaper) Mongoose. What I paid for them ranged from $150 ish to $200 each.

Expensive enough for me not to want to replace the bikes outright but I dont want to spend more on parts than I did on the bikes.

I really couldn't recommend you to a site other than the mongoose site.

how much of the bike is missing?

[basic parts, brake levers, cables a new 5 spoke rim and the like.]

Well ,i might be able to give you an estimation of cost if you can tell what parts are missing in detail so you wont have to spend more than what the bikes are worth.

It's 3 bikes.....

Parts needed....

hand brake levers x 3

Brake cables (assorted lengths) x 3

The collar that keeps the rear brake cables from getting twisted around the gooseneck x 1

5 spoke alluminum wheel (rear) x 1

Off the top of my head that is everything.

There are no parts listing on the Mongoose website.
