House sitting..and done broke the jacuzzi! oops
Hi,

First post and unfortunately I am in dire need of some quick advice. Whilst folding the hot tub cover to take it off..I lost control of it and broke off both the back snaps that hold the hot tub cover in place. My main problem as I see it...is that even if I get the replacement parts...how do I get the male end back on the hot tub cover strap as the originals were sewn into the strap. Thanks for any and all help. They come back on Sunday and was hoping to have it fixed. By the way I live in Anchorage Alaska.

Cheers, Brad

Find a tarp fixer kinda guy and have him sew new straps on. Or....... tell the owners you had a bear visit and break it. You could also tell them the bear is a real mess after you got through with it. .... or blame it on the wind if you had a blow recently.

I had a cover made years ago for a toolbox on my truck that I got done at a boat shop that made covers for boats. They get all sizes and many are custom so doing something like a toolbox may of been something they did it was nothing new really because it was just another custom job. Plus it was easy and cheap to have done.

They are people that deal with making things like that and they would be in just about any town.

Or... you could just be honest and explain to them when they get back that you accidentally broke the straps...

Or just cobble together a makeshift one from a beach ball, a paperclip, and some duct tape.

I don't think the thread starter is coming back, and he's had to deal with the situation by now anyway.
