Well, normally it's all plastic piping. It's not that hard to repair yourself, the trick is where the pipe has burst. I've fixed several leaks in a hot tub, but one was in a place that was impossible to get to without having the tub tipped up on it's side.
The move here is to open up the side covers with the jets running and see where it's leaking. That will tell you how easy or hard it's going to be to fix it.
