DLP TV problem
I have a 42" Sumsung DLP TV. No picture and makes a groaning noise. Indicator lights flash. Bulb looks OK. Advise?

I have not posted this elsewhere. I did call a repair shop who told me the noise I heard indicates the color wheel is bad. The set still has the original bulb after four years so it needs to be replaced as well. I'm debating whether to replace these myself ($300), let the shop do this ($500), or buy a new set ($1000).

The bulb should be easy to replace. No idea about the color wheel.
