Sony Trinitron TV Problem/Solution :D
I've got an old Sony Trinitron TV, and a couple of months ago the TV blew and since then it doesn' turn on. I called a mechanic over and he said to me that the 'transformers' blown and to replace it, it will cost at most £200.

After serious thought, I came to the conclusion that there is no point spending £200 when i can put another 100/150 and buy a new TV.

However, at the moment i am stuck with a massive TV in my living room and don't know what to do with it. Either I can use the traditional method by throwing it outside the house and wait for a pleasant citizen to take it of my hands, advertise it on something like Gumtree hoping someone will come and pick it up (and pay a small fee), OR take apart the TV and sell the parts individually (if it is worth it) would anyone know if there is any point in doing it? Or am i just wasting my time?

Cheers Guys!!
