Unhappy Wii & TV ... stopped working
A few days ago my wii and tv stopped powering on.

they were both plugged into the same surge protector as the DVR & DVD player which are both fine.

the TV is an older, maybe 8 years, HD CRT and the Wii will be 1 year old this April.

I've tried plugging them into different outlets and double checked that we hadn't blown a fuze and they still will not power on.

Also - i see no external evidence of anything wrong.

i find it odd that both the oldest and newest piece of tech plugged into a surge protector go out at the same time.

any ideas?
thanks,
jtn

I'd guess that something happened to the power on that outlet to take them both out.

That was my initial thought, except that the DVR and DVD player were both plugged into the same surge protector and they're both fine.

Power surges don't affect all devices the same way, some are more robust than others.
