Solved: New Question on Whirlpool range.
I have a Whirlpool Model SF315PEEQ0 free-standing range and would like to eliminate the less costly parts before replacing others.

Is there a way to test the ignitor element and should there be some electrical current(testable) in the wiring to the element? The electrical test would remove the control panel from the equation.

I know there is no way to test the safety valve and gas pressure regulator due to safety reasons, so I need to eliminate all other possibilities before replacing this.

It appears to be a "glow bar". Just check for continuity. it is nothing more than a heating element. I believe the resistance should be quite low. (100 ohms or less?????.)

It was the igniter element(glow bar). $50 repair compared to $190.

Thanks Techguys!!
